Carpet & Fabric Tips

When you spill something on a carpet or upholstery, the first and best tip we can offer is , DONT PANIC.

1. Get a damp (not saturated) cloth and mop up as much of the spillage as possible in a blotting fashion, do not scrub as this will only serve to spread the stain.

2. Rinse the cloth and continue to blot using hot water as above untill either the stain has gone or untill you feel you have removed as much of the spillage as possible. Always work from the outside of the stain inwards. Dry with a hairdryer to avoid watermarking.

3. If you are still left with a stain it would be pertinent to contact a professional as although some "carpet cleaning chemicals" are safe on most carpets please bear in mind that certain chemicals are not suitable for some carpets and can actually cause damage.
